  • How much does it cost?

    Each visitor - adults, children and senior citizens - pays the same flat rate of £4.95, but children who are 2 years old and under enter for free. Each visitor also gets a Paleo Pass, which is a limited time season pass and is explained below.

  • What is a Paleo Pass?

    Our Paleo Pass is a season ticket that allows the named holder unlimited re-entry during the life of the pass for a reduced re-entry price of only £1 per person. Each pass is valid for a limited period of time, with the present pass valid from Saturday 11th February to Wednesday 28th March 2012 inclusive. The pass also acts as your entry ticket is issued regardless of whether you wish to return or not.

  • When are you open?

    For the 2011/2012 winter season we are only open 4 days per week on Saturday, Sunday, Tuesday and Wednesday. On these days we will be open from 11am with a last entry time of 3pm. Our winter season runs from Tuesday 6th September 2011 to Thursday 29th March 2012 inclusive.

  • How long is a visit?

    Visitors can spend as long as they like in the exhibition. There are many displays to see, interactive areas to play with, a quiz to complete, and information boards with up to date details of a whole host of dinosaurs. As such the length of visit depends on how much each visitors wishes to read or interact; having said that an average visitor time is about 1 hour.

  • Do you have parking?

    We do not have our own car parks, but there are many pay and display car parks within walking distance of our location. The two closest are Lower Union Street and the Harbour Car Parks.

  • Pushchair friendly?

    Yes, the route around our exhibition is wide enough for pushchairs, but there are five steps to a small section containing 4 displays. We find that most people lift the pushchairs up the steps to view the models.

  • Disability access?

    Most of our exhibition is on the ground floor, is suitable to disability access, and complies with DDA regulations. However, whilst our walkways are wide enough for wheelchairs, we do have five steps up to a mezzanine level that contains 4 displays. Because of this we offer a limited entry price of £3.50 for each visitor with a disability.

  • Discount for carers?

    If you are a carer for an adult or child you will both receive a discounted entry of £3.50. This price will also grant you the Paleo Pass re-entry ticket.

  • Is photography allowed?

    Absolutely, we encourage our visitors, especially the little ones, to take pictures of, or film, any of the displays on show at the exhibition.

  • Do you have a gift shop?

    We do have a gift shop at the end of the exhibition!
    It has a wide selection of dinosaur toys and gifts for ages from 3 to 11 years old, and we have a selection of real fossils, such as a sharks tooth, ammonites, and trilobites, to satisfy those collectors amongst you. If you forget something you can always order it online at our Dinosaur World Shop.

  • Are dogs allowed?

    Yes, but for the safety of all our visitors dogs must be kept on a lead and controlled by their owners at all times.

  • Food & drink?

    Unfortunately, we do not sell food or drink in the exhibition and do not have an area to eat food.
    Also, we do not allow food to be eaten as visitors walk around the exhibition. However, there are plenty of eateries in the area and some great places to have a packed lunch by the harbour!
